Anime isn't in my life

During my life I have watched a few times some anime series, so I’m not an expert on the subject. I know anime is the Japanese cartoon, generally has a complex plot, which mixes fantasy and social problems.
When I was a child I used to watch American cartoons, but I had some favorite anime series. Case Closed (El Detective Conan) was my favorite anime cartoon. It was about a young boy who was a detective. During an investigation, he is attacked by two criminals from the Black Organization. They force him to ingest an experimental poison, APTX 4869, which is supposed to kill him, and leave him to die. A rare side-effect of the poison, transforms the boy's body into that of a child instead of killing him. Inside that small body, he starts to solve criminal cases as Conan, but usually poses as a police, Richard Moore with the help of special gadgets invented by his neighbor.
I really used to enjoy this cartoon, because each episode showed a new case to resolve and Conan detective had to follow the clues and use his mind to found the guilty character.
The anime isn’t an important part in my life. It hasn’t influenced me, even, my friends aren’t anime fans. I don’t really understand why anime is so popular, I don’t know what the people have found in the anime, but is sure it has something, because so many people around the world watch it. Maybe the long stories, the several characters, the detailed drawing have caught the audience. The fanaticism is such that some people dress up their favorite anime character. Besides, they are not only interested in the cartoons, but also in Japanese culture.

A fundamental issue: The Environment

The environment is very important for our society, because is where we live, the Earth. With the Industrial Revolution in XIX century, the environment began to suffer damage, because appeared a lot of factories, which contributed to polluting the nature.
The most of people don’t know how to care of the environment, so they don’t realize how much damage do when they smoke or leave plastics on the grass. At school teachers should teach the children about environmentally friendly practices, like recycling, energy and water saving, which are organic rubbish. However, during the last years, the government has started a campaign to promote the preservation of the environment. Some municipalities built recycling centers. So people are learning of the preserving of the nature.
When I was 14 years old, I was very interested about the care of the environment, I was very aware about it. So I joined to Greenpeace and I participated with Ocean Defenders. In that time I really enjoyed it and I used to talk with everybody about what the organization did. Besides I used to tell people that the environment was in danger. After a couple years, my worry disappeared and I never went back to Greenpeace.
Honestly, I haven’t done anything to reduce my carbon footprint. I don’t recycle, neither I ride my bike, I only use public transport to move from my house to somewhere in the city. Of course I don’t throw trash in the street and I try to not pollute the water.

60s: Music revolution

My favorite bands had their heyday or were born in the 60s, so this is the time I like more if we are talking of music. During that period, the rock and roll how everybody knew it changed. The typical Chuck Berry’s style remained just for a couple years, later it transmuted into something more psychedelic. This is my favorite part. Bands like The Beatles, Rolling Stone, Pink Floyd. I like their Electronic sounds, exotic instruments, echoes and wear voices that were part of the songs. But I have to say I love Elvis Presley and Ray Charles.
I like the old school style, of ballads and music for parties, with the typical guitars. The music from nowadays’ music is more electronic and to be a part of the business, the lyrics are more simple, although the first songs of The Beatles were very simple.
When I listen to music of the 60s I realize that it bridges the gap between me and my parents, because we enjoy listening to Elvis Presley, Ray Charles and The Beatles. We like listening to LPs on the turntable.
I love this music, but my preferences are The Beatles, specially the White Album, and Pink Floyd, with Dark Side of the Moon. So I don’t dance this music, but I enjoy listening to it and I relax with this.
I think I would like to be born in the 60s to participate of this music revolution, and I would love to be in a concert of these bands.

Don Cheadle's Miles Davis movie will be a 'gangster' film

http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2012/jan/03/don-cheadle-miles-davis-movie

The article is about the film Don Cheadle is recording about Miles David’s life. But the director doesn’t want to make a conventional biopic. He wants to focus on 1979, when the jazz player was retired from playing music. In that way, Cheadle plans to make a gangster film. He told the Wall Street Journal (via the Playlist). "It's not a biopic, per se. It's a gangster pic. It's a movie Miles Davis would have wanted to star in."
This movie wants to make a contrast with a typical biopic. Specific the George Tillman Jr’ film, which is based on a book by Davis's son. The director knows that ten years ago a film like this would have been a polemic production in the cinema business, but now the movie is something very uncommon, so people will be interested in seeing it.
The production requires a hard work of inquiring about the jazz player’s unknown story and remixing all the facts of Davis’s life. In that way, the movie tries to be more cubist than a typical film.
Miles Davis is a jazz legend, who died in 1991, with 65 years old. His heritage at jazz is so important, and Don Cheadle knows that. He will direct the film about the musician and will take the lead role himself.
The project is still in development, how ever, the director has all the intention of doing this, although he has to stick to a budget, of course, with out gutting the piece.

My dream is to visit France

I’ve always wanted to visit France, because I really like the architecture and the esthetics of it. Since I was a child, I used to dream with Paris, I think it has a special atmosphere. When I realized that France is the place where freedom, art and bohemia had their heyday, I knew I would someday go there. Besides, I know that Paris is the most beautiful city, with its little streets and cafes. The city has a lot of green areas and that is what I’d want to know.
If someday I visit France, I would like to walk the streets, bike around Paris, go to the Eiffel Tower and The Louvre.
I would love to study cine or art there, and work like a journalist. Also I think would be a excellent experience living a few of years there, although I know It is very expensive, but I can work for that.

Cinema in my life

I love watching movies, especially if I go to the cinema. I like the work that the filmmaker does when creates a fictional world and makes the spectator pretends believing. However, I don´t have enough money to go often to the cinema, so I use to watch the movies channels on the Tv and download bootleg movies.
Right now, I don’t remember if I have a favorite movie, but I can say that the last time I went to the cinema I watch a film the shocked me. I was called Lebanon, and told a story of three soldiers who drove a tank, and passed all their service inside it. It is set in the war of Lebanon in 1982 and shows the hard life of the soldiers, who had never been in a war. Is a very human movie, because you can see and understand the perspective of three guys that didn’t want to be there. All the hard moments they live sensitize the audience. I really liked the movie, and I recommend it because shows a reality.
The seventh art is a way to transmit ideas and values, which is what I like more.

Everybody is on vacations, I'm studying

After six months of strike for a better education, I'm in classes again. It's very wear and it’s been hard for me to adjust to the college. We have a lot of work to do, and I lost all my free time.
For this term, I expect to learn what necessary for the career is. Because I don't like the idea of have less content.
This time, I have taken five subjects: Semiology, Reporting workshop, Writing workshop, Freedom of expression and Contemporary visual culture. Until now, I have liked the subjects, because they are closer to the journalism than the first semester.
The only thing I hate of studying during the summer is that the days are too hot and the sun is very harmful, and I take more than an hour to get to the college.
But I don't care that I have to spend Christmas and New Year in the college, because I had enough free time.
